Pharyngeal Reconstruction Using Forearm Free Flap

Abstract
The forearm flap is ideal for intra-oral reconstruction, offering thin, pliable predominantly hairless skin to replace oral mucosa following tumor resection.
The vascularity of the area allows considerable variation in the design of this fasciocutaneous flap. Furthermore, the vascular anatomy of the flap simplifies the technical aspects of free tissue transfer.
Herein, I present a case of pharyngeal carcinoma which was treated by radical resection and reconstructed by using free forearm flap.
